Volunteers Needed for the 11th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival
Salt Lake City, May 17 – Craft Lake City® is seeking volunteers to assist with the 11th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival®. The DIY Festival is Utah’s largest local-centric, three-day arts festival featuring over 250 local artisans, STEM exhibitors, craft food creators, vintage, the Google Fiber STEM Building, two stages of music and dance performances, a kids’ area, local food trucks and approximately 20,000 attendees. The DIY Festival will be held this year in Salt Lake City on Friday, August 9, 5pm – 10pm, Saturday, August 10, Noon – 10pm & Sunday, August 11, Noon – 7pm at The Utah State Fairpark.
Craft Lake City is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art. The DIY Festival is Craft Lake City’s largest event of the year and is a celebration of Utah’s creative community as participants are from around the state.
Volunteers are the backbone to this event—connecting community members with local artisans, craft food, DIY engineers, and performers. When you volunteer at the DIY Festival, you help to support local, independent artisans, promote regional spending and encourage the public to shop locally.
“We want you to get the most out of your volunteer experience, “ says Tara Olson, Craft Lake City’s Volunteer Coordinator. “We thank you with perks such as free admission to the festival, a volunteer t-shirt, beverages, meals and more (based on the number of shifts you work).”
Volunteers are needed to assist in all areas from artisan load in and load out, kids craft area, beverage trailers, the VIP Lounge, Green Team, the Google Fiber STEM building and more. We have a variety of positions available to fit everyone’s interests, personality and skills.
Please join us in supporting our local, creative economy while meeting like-minded individuals and having lots of fun!
