Craft Lake City Presents: Craft Cocktail
Workshop Sugar House Distillery Rum
Salt Lake City, Mar. 16, 2016 – Craft Lake City and Finca present the third Craft Cocktail workshop in a five-part series. The workshop will be held at Finca on Wednesday, Apr. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m , featuring local company, Sugar House Distillery.
Craft Lake City’s Craft Cocktail workshops highlight local liquor companies in Utah and present the opportunity to learn from artisanal spirit enthusiasts. Sugar House Distillery, a local distillery tucked away on the west edge of Salt Lake City’s Sugar House neighborhood, offers small batch liquors made from the finest and most simple ingredients. For the April 13 cocktail workshop, participants are welcome to join Craft Lake City at Finca Restaurant to find out from Sugar House Distillery’s master distillers what makes their rum the best in the valley. The workshop will feature a rum education and tasting, a cocktail recipe demonstration from Finca’s Bar Manager Natalie Hamilton and “pinchos” (small bites) provided by Finca.
There is a $50 material fee for the workshop. Participants must be 21 or older to register. Limited tickets are available, and there are no refunds. Pre-registration is required. Tickets available here.

About Sugarhouse Distillery: Sugar House Distillery received federal approval for spirits distilling in September 2013, and Utah approval in January 2014. The distillery’s initial 2014 vodka release was followed later that year with a 100% malted barley whisky. In 2015, Sugar House distilling added both a silver and gold rum to the product line, with more exciting spirits currently in production. Distiller and owner James Fowler, Master Distiller Eric Robinson, and assistant distiller and sales representative Jake Wood take education about their craft seriously, and encourage consumers to come by the distillery and see how true grain-to-glass spirits are made, one small batch at a time. No additives, no artificial colors or flavors. Just grain or molasses, yeast, and time; finished with a little water and a lot of skill.
