Craft Lake City Receives National Endowment for the Arts Award

Craft Lake City has been approved for a $10,000 Challenge America award to support the 14th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons taking place at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City on Aug 12, 13 and 14, 2022. The event promotes community engagement by providing interactive and educational opportunities at the festival through artisan workshops, local artisan vending areas, local performances in dance and music, and through live demonstrations. Craft Lake City’s project is among 168 projects across America totaling $1,680,000 that were selected to receive fiscal year 2022 funding in the Challenge America grant category.

“The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support arts projects like this one from Craft Lake City that help support the community’s creative economy,” said NEA Acting Chair Ann Eilers. “Craft Lake City in Salt Lake City is among the organizations nationwide that are using the arts as a source of strength, a path to well-being, and providing access and opportunity for people to connect and find joy through the arts.”

The 14th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons will be taking place at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City on Aug 12, 13 and 14, 2022. The DIY Festival is Utah’s largest local-centric art, music, science and technology festival. The DIY Fest features hundreds of local artisans, vintage vendors, foodies, youth entrepreneurs, performers, & STEM exhibitors. Applications are currently open for exhibitors, artisans, vintage vendors, performers, Kid Row, artisans, and food vendors. Application closes Sunday, April 3, 2022.
