Salt Lake City, UT – Aug, 7, 2021:  Craft Lake City is committed to providing opportunities for people within all Utah communities to experience and connect with Utah’s rich crafting history, current DIY movement and creative future.

In 2017 Craft Lake City developed the DIY Festival Inclusion Program as part of the overall diversity and inclusion strategy. The goal of the DIY Festival Inclusion Program is to support individuals from underrepresented and/or socially or economically excluded communities in order to provide the entire Utah community with opportunities to creatively and economically thrive. Over the last two years Craft Lake City has developed new programming and expanded upon the existing programming for the 13th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons.

NEW Programming for the 13th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons includes:

  • Pacific Islander Heritage Month Day at the DIY Festival: On Sat., Aug. 14, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. attendees of the DIY Festival can visit six Pacific Islander cultural stations and participate in a make and take craft, enjoy delicious food and drink from one of the Pacific Islander food booths and watch performances from the Pacific Islander community on the SLUG Mag stage.
  • Sponsored Entrepreneur Program: The Sponsored Entrepreneur Program seeks to increase accessibility to the festival experience by demystifying what it takes to participate in the DIY Festival.
