Craft Lake City is very honored to announce Google Fiber as the presenting sponsor for the Fourth Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market. This will be the first time Craft Lake City has featured a title sponsor for this event.
The Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market, held this year on Dec 2 & 3 at Ogden Union Station, features a wide array of talented Utah artisans selling hand-crafted goods including jewelry, home decor & housewares, artwork, bath & beauty items, curated vintage finds, and much more. This year’s event will feature its largest artisan lineup to date along with over a dozen food vendors selling pre-packaged treats perfect for stocking stuffers as well as delicious made-to-order meals to enjoy while shopping. Attendees at the Fourth Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market Presented By Google Fiber are sure to find gorgeous, lovingly made gifts for everyone on their holiday shopping list at this two-day celebratory event.
“Google Fiber has played such a pivotal role in helping Craft Lake City execute our mission to elevate the Utah creative culture, especially through science & technology,” says Angela H. Brown, Craft Lake City’s Executive Director. “We appreciate all the ways that Google Fiber promotes community connection & inspires our community to engage with STEM. It’s an honor to continue this robust partnership in a new way this year through their sponsorship of our Holiday Market!”
Google Fiber has been a longtime partner of Craft Lake City through its support of a myriad of STEM initiatives at the Annual DIY Festival. Craft Lake City is pleased to have Google Fiber’s ongoing support in the sponsorship of its STEM Building at the Annual DIY Festival, Utah’s largest local-centric arts, music, & technology festival (which celebrated its 14th year earlier in 2022). The Google Fiber STEM Building at the DIY Festival brings together over 40 Utah DIY engineers, scientists, tech hobbyists, tinkerers, major research institutions, & local businesses while offering engaging demos & all-ages hands-on activities for festival-goers. This year, Craft Lake City was thrilled to expand its popular water rocket launch program to local Title 1 elementary schools as an afterschool enrichment activity thanks to additional sponsorship from Google Fiber.
Craft Lake City STEM coordinator Lyndi Perry has built up year-round educational offerings with Google Fiber’s support. “Working with Google Fiber on our Title I school outreach has been a dream. They have been so deeply committed to extending our summer success at DIY Fest, and we were thrilled to share this hands-on physics activity at five different STEM family nights throughout Salt Lake County. Experiential learning makes such a huge difference in how kids understand important scientific concepts, and I consider it a true gift to see students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade light up when their rockets blast high into the sky.”
Mark your calendars: the Fourth Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market Presented By Google Fiber will be held on Fri., Dec. 2 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sat., Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Ogden. General admission tickets are now available on 24tix.com. For more information about the event, visit craftlakecity.com.
