Salt Lake City, UT – July 26, 2024 – Craft Lake City is thrilled to announce Meta’s returning sponsorship of STEM programming at the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons.
Meta and Craft Lake City’s partnership is based on an initiative to expand the festival’s audiences to Utah County. With Meta’s Utah location based in Utah County, they are passionate about providing access to interactive STEM programming to their local community. They are doing this by working with Craft Lake City to provide ticket giveaways for families at STEM Outreach events in Utah County. Additionally, Meta will have a Quest 3 VR Headset available inside the Google Fiber STEM Building for festival goers to engage with a highly interactive educational experience.
“Meta’s support for STEM programming enables us to increase our impact to a broader audience,” says Sergio Hernandez, STEM Coordinator for Craft Lake City. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with them again this year as we work toward our shared goal of promoting local STEM education.”
The Google Fiber STEM Building at the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons features local tinkerers, tech startups, nonprofit organizations, indie game developers and educational institutions. STEM exhibitors provide festival attendees with a unique opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering and math projects happening in Utah through hands-on exhibitions and activities. |
Festival-goers can satisfy their curiosity by engaging with local experts with anything from drones, planetary science, video games and natural sciences. STEM opportunities are aimed at inspiring both adults and youth to explore these topics in fun and innovative ways.
