SALT LAKE CITY, June 6 – Craft Lake City is excited to announce that two 2016 DIY Festival exhibitors have been selected to receive a design scholarship from Salt Flat Studios.
For the first time this year, Craft Lake City is partnering with Salt Flat Studios to offer design services in support of its mission to educate, promote, and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture in Utah. Salt Flat Studios has selected two up and coming artisans who they believe can benefit from their expertise. The winners are:
- Montée
- sBayco.
Craft Lake City’s DIY Festival is in its 8th year. This year the festival will feature more than 250 local artisans, craft foodies, DIY engineers, and performers. The festival provides an excellent platform for small businesses of all varieties to showcase their products to the community, with more than 40,000 people expected to attend.
Salt Flat Studios is a Utah-based company that specializes in developing and building brand identities. “We are excited for this opportunity to help these small local companies elevate their brand identity to make the most of their experience at the DIY Festival,” said Devin Harris, Founder and Executive Creative Director at Salt Flat Studios. “Craft Lake City is a great advocate for entrepreneurs, so teaming up with them to support these artisans is a perfect fit for our goals to support the local community.”

The 2016 DIY Festival will be held at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main Street, on Friday, Aug. 12 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 14 from noon to 7 p.m.
