Join us in celebrating eleven years of the DIY Festival! Craft Lake City’s DIY Festival is Utah’s largest local-centric, three-day arts festival, with over 250 local artisans, DIY engineers, vintage vendors, and craft food creators, the Google Fiber STEM Building, two stages of music and dance performances, local food trucks, and approximately 20,000 attendees. We are thrilled to announce a NEW VENUE for the DIY Festival this year: the Utah State Fairpark

DIY Festival Workshops

Engage your creativity by taking a hands-on contemporary craft workshop with a top local artisan! Learn how to tie dye, macrame, embroider and taste coffee like a pro, or make your own handmade soap, llama pins, paper flower bouquets, incense or decorated cookies. Harmons VIP Lounge

Kid Row

Each year at the DIY Festival, young makers ages 14 and under sell their creative work as official Festival vendors on Saturday, August 10 from 2-6pm in a special program called Kid Row.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of the DIY Festival. They help to connect more than 20,000 community members with local artisans, vendors, DIY engineers, and performers over the course of the Festival weekend. Craft Lake City Kids’ Area:
LEAVE YOUR MARK PARK

New for 2019: Kids’ Area Leave Your MARK Park Presented By Mark Miller Subaru is a hands-on play area for children to learn about the power of “giving back.” Inspired by the mission of the Subaru Love Promise, the Leave Your MARK Park will invite children of all ages to participate in a variety of fun and interactive DIY crafts.

Visit the Google fiber STEM Building at the DIY Festival!

 

DIY Engineers are housed within Google Fiber’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Building in the Bonneville Building at the Utah Fairpark and are one of the most popular attractions at our Festival. DIY Engineers display interactive science projects, inventions, incubator concepts, modular synths, virtual reality experiences, prototypes, 3-D printing and other technology projects.

As always, the Craft Lake City DIY Festival’s showcase of local musicians, dancers and other performers displays the true breadth of Utah’s varying artistic styles.
