Craft Lake City Announces Harmons Neighborhood Grocer Returns as Presenting Sponsor For 7th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival

SALT LAKE CITY, Monday, May 25, 2015: Craft Lake City, a 501(c3) charitable organization, announced today that Harmons Neighborhood Grocer will be returning as one of this year’s Presenting Sponsors for the 7th Annual Craft Lake City Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Festival on Aug. 7–8, 2015.

“It’s exciting to have Harmons back for another year of Presenting Sponsorship with Craft Lake City’s Do-It-Yourself Festival,” says Craft Lake City’s Executive Director, Angela H. Brown. “As a longtime customer of Harmons myself, I value their contributions to Utah’s craft food creators and our shared goal of elevating creative culture in our community.”

“At Harmons we are passionate about food and highlighting local artisans and products unique to Utah,” said Bob Harmon, co-owner and vice president for the customer for Harmons Grocery Stores. “We are excited to partner with Craft Lake City for their seventh annual DIY festival and look forward to highlighting the best local products Utah has to offer.”

This summer, Craft Lake City’s DIY Festival enters its seventh year—and third year of expanding across two days. The Festival begins on Friday, Aug. 7 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. and concludes on Saturday, Aug. 8 from noon to 10 p.m. The outdoor arts festival will include over 230 vendors specializing in handmade goods such as: silk screened posters, progressive crafts, DIY designs, reconstructed clothing, knitted items, jewelry, letter-pressed books and more, along with local musicians and performers, craft food vendors, and a Science & Technology building to showcase the work and ideas of DIY Engineers. It will be held at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City. Entry is $5 for adults, while children 12 and under get in for free. More information can be found at craftlakecity.com.
